Current Opportunities

The mission of the Business Development Executive (BDE) is to generate sponsorship sales for AE Ventures builder brand attachment products, upgrade sales, content library sponsorship subscriptions and other sponsorship sales related to TecHome Builder and Housing Transformation. Leveraging a consistent sales process and an intent to truly assist and serve clients, the BDE will achieve high velocity and high-volume sales of the small-ticket offers within his/her charge. Specific goals include:

  • Generating sales of:
    • $80,000 for the 2021 and $120,000 for the 2022 TecHome & Housing Transformation awards programs.
    • Upgrade sales of $60,000 for 2021 and $180,000 for the 2022 TecHome Builder and Housing Transformation Summits.
    • Sales of $100,000 for 2021 and $300,000 for 2022 TecHome Builder & Housing Transformation Summit sponsorships.
    • Sales of $100,000 standalone TecHome Builder and Housing Transformation content library sponsorships in 2022.
  • Developing a sales plan that:
    • Identifies the sponsor universe and prioritizes strategic accounts and best prospects
    • Lays out the consistent sales process to be used by the BDE
    • Articulates sales messages to be used in prospecting, cross-selling/lead gen, flyover conversations, presentations and proposals
    • Establishes timelines for different forms of outreach and travel to events
    • Establishes monthly pacing goals
  • Collaborating in a quality way with team members to maximize sales, service and quality

  • Develop a growth strategy for the content libraries for to reach 1,000 pageviews weekly per brand by end of first year
  • Achieves 90% of schedule outputs on time for content/editorial calendar
  • Grow Housing Transformation Summit weekly pageviews to 1,000 within first two years
  • Double content consumption/engagement metrics for builder events in first two years
  • Develop general session content for 2022 events based upon market research
  • Achieve 4+ average star ratings for all session content delivered in-person and online
  • Produce one major guide and two major research reports per brand by end of first year
  • Establish user-generated content system for both brands by 2022

We are seeking an individual who enjoys working closely with customers by phone, email correspondence and in-person at events to deliver an exceptional and transformational experience. Candidate must be a strong oral and written communicator as well as have strong problem solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop application process, tracking, reporting and data hygiene for guests
  • Serve as main point of contact for event guests after application is complete
    • Prepare and send guest confirmation details
    • Follow up with communications prior to event with reminders and messaging on commitments
    • Communicate with guests in a timely, helpful and pleasant way
  • Improve process for collecting guest and sponsor meeting preferences
  • Build community for guest and sponsors to engage post-event
  • Assist with administrative projects including hotel rooming lists, flight reservations, seating assignments, database maintenance, mailings, etc.
  • Create and lead sponsor and guest webinars
  • Serve as main point of contact for event sponsors after the sale is complete
    • Prepare and send sponsorship confirmation details
    • Establish and maintain sponsor customer portal pages
    • Follow up with communications prior to event with deadlines and reminders
    • Monitor event orders and follow up on outstanding deliverables
    • Communicate with sponsors in a timely, helpful and pleasant way
  • Work with event vendors to provide support for sponsor needs
  • Create engagement summary reports for sponsors
  • Manage on-site exhibit hall operations and sponsor logistics
  • Monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
