    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT/TRAINEE

    AE Ventures is seeking an outgoing, persuasive Business Development Assistant/Trainee to join its growing business. The Business Development Assistant/Trainee will work closely with the Business Development team, providing administrative support and customer service for sale of event sponsorships and digital marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will enjoy doing research on prospects and customers, contacting them via persistent personalized correspondence and telephone calls and track his/her work in an organized, detailed way using our Salesforce CRM. This dynamic role requires an outgoing personality and the ability to develop a rapport with clients over the phone and build relationships on an ongoing basis. It also requires an interest in technology in homes and businesses and today’s sales and marketing strategies and tactics. The Business Development Assistant will also work closely with the AE Ventures’ and partners’ operations team to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of client’s operational needs. Career path for the Business Development Assistant is to a Business Development Executive role after 6-12 months of formal and on-the-job training.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Assist company’s Business Development team in managing, updating and maintaining prospect lists in Salesforce
    • Organize and distribute daily email communications to prospective customers
    • Make proactive calls to current and past clients to assist the Business Development team in moving them through the sales cycle including: setting up sales presentation appointments, developing customized proposals; completing contracts and following up to obtain signed agreements
    • Make outbound calls to existing customers for small-ticket sales and registrations
    • Responsible for incoming telephone inquiries as they relate to assigned products with the goal of scheduling a calls
    • Assist with administrative projects including mailings, database maintenance, etc.
    • Work closely with operations team to ensure all operational needs of the client are taken care of
    • Travel as needed (10-15%) to events and industry trade shows, etc.

    SALES SUPPORT SPECIALIST

    AE Ventures is seeking an outgoing, persuasive Sales Support Specialist to join its growing business. The Sales Support Specialist will work closely with the Business Development team, providing administrative support and customer service for sale of event sponsorships and digital marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will enjoy doing research on prospects and customers, contacting them via persistent personalized correspondence and telephone calls and track his/her work in an organized, detailed way using our Salesforce CRM. This dynamic role requires an outgoing personality and the ability to develop a rapport with clients over the phone and build relationships on an ongoing basis. It also requires an interest in technology in homes and businesses and today’s sales and marketing strategies and tactics. The Sales Support Specialist will also work closely with the AE Ventures’ operations team to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of client’s operational needs.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Performs sales and administrative duties for assigned department.  Prepares documents, correspondence and reports as directed.  Proofreads for grammar, spelling with a strong attention to detail.
    • Communicate by phone and e-mail correspondence to prospective, current and past clients to assist the Business Development team in moving them through the sales cycle including: winning discovery/qualification and solution presentation appointments, developing and refining proposals and agreements, obtaining signed agreements, scheduling customer care/planning appointments and communicating information and deadlines for on-site execution of sponsorships.
    • Assists BDE in researching prospect and customer needs and priorities to understand pitch points for winning meetings and sales communications.
    • Make use of referrals from event audience members, existing and prospective customers to assist in winning meetings.
    • Enters data to maintain and update various databases and spreadsheets to include Salesforce. Ensures data integrity by verifying input and calculations.  Uses standard templates for regular department activities, reports and presentations to maximize efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
    • Assists others by furnishing information and helping with basic problem resolution. Answers questions via phone or email and provides accurate and timely information.
    • Works closely with Guest Recruitment, Customer Experience and Finance to ensure all operational needs of the client are taken care of.
    • Assist with administrative projects including mailings and maintains an organized computer and/or hard copy files for easy identification and retrieval.
    • Demonstrate ability to handle more tasks and responsibilities over time, exceeding that of a sales support administrator and willingness to grow.
    • Travel as needed (10-15%) to events

    EVENT AUDIENCE SALES SPECIALIST

    AE Ventures is seeking an outgoing, persuasive Sales Specialist. The Specialist will work closely with the guest recruitment and marketing teams to secure commitments from business leaders to attend AE Ventures events. The ideal candidate will enjoy doing research on prospects, and contact them via persistent and personalized correspondence, making sure to track his/her work in an organized, detailed way using our Salesforce CRM. This dynamic role requires an outgoing personality and the ability to develop a rapport with clients over the phone and build relationships on an ongoing basis. It also requires an interest in technology in homes and businesses and in the operations of technology integration/installation and homebuilding companies.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Researching guest prospect companies and individual business leaders for potential fit
    • Planning and executing aggressive phone/email and at-event prospecting to generate discovery and qualification calls/meetings
    • Presenting our event concepts, value proposition, features and guest obligations in a clear and compelling way
    • Closing guest applications and agreements in accordance with overall goals and pacing schedules
    • Maintain detailed records of outreach to prospects in Salesforce
    • Report progress on recruitment efforts to the GR Team on a weekly basis
    • Assisting guests with travel planning and at-event information and service needs
    • Provide high quality customer service for all event guests and sponsors
    • Assist internal staff with miscellaneous projects

    Requirements:

    • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with strong customer satisfaction focus

    EVENT SPONSORSHIP SALES EXECUTIVE

    AE Ventures is seeking an outgoing, persuasive Event Sponsorship Sales Executive to join its fast-growing business. Ideal candidate will enjoy connecting and communicating with clients and prospects by phone/web conference and in-person at industry events and client headquarters to discover needs, strategies and goals and identify ways our unique hosted style events can be instrumental to their success.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Researching sponsor prospect companies and individual decision makers for potential fit as sponsors and specific sales angles
    • Planning and executing aggressive phone/email and at-event prospecting to generate discovery and qualification calls/meetings
    • Presenting our event concepts, value proposition, features and sponsorship options in a clear and compelling way
    • Drafting high quality proposals
    • Managing the consensus sales process within client organizations
    • Closing agreements in accordance with overall goals and pacing schedules
    • Tracking and managing sales and activities and sponsorship agreement details in our Salesforce CRM
    • Interfacing effectively with business development colleagues, top management, marketing, operations/customer care, content development and finance/admin on matters necessary to overall company success
    • Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes
    • Managing territory to meet or exceed set sales goals, metrics and accountabilities

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of sales experience or equivalent
    • Previous media/event product sales preferred
    • Experience with technology or homebuilding media preferred
    • Strong written and oral communications skills
    • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and results oriented environment is a must
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications
    • Ability to travel 10-25%
